Braille bracelet pattern maker

Turn a word into a bead layout. Each cell becomes a column of beads, with raised dots as one colour and flat positions as another — the pattern most braille jewellery is built from.

Your bead pattern will appear here.

How braille jewellery is actually made

Most braille bracelets use two bead colours: one for a raised dot and one for an empty position. Each braille cell becomes a group of six beads, read as two columns of three.

Because every cell needs all six positions represented, a six-letter word needs thirty-six beads plus separators. Count before you buy — this is the step people skip.

It will not be readable by touch

A bead bracelet represents braille visually; it is not readable by a braille reader, because the spacing and dot height do not match the standard. If you want something genuinely readable, that needs proper embossing at the correct dot dimensions — see why signage braille is regulated.
